Girls' Basketball Wins Championship
Congratulations also to the girls' varsity basketball team (21-4) on a thrilling 70-57 win over Hamden Hall to capture the Fairchester Athletic Association girls' basketball tournament championship. The girls were also co-champions of the FAA league with Hamden Hall at the end of regular season play. Senior Carolyn Binder led the Wildcats with 26 points, including her 2000th point as a varsity player! Sophomore Neddie Mendez added 16 points, including several key baskets in the closing minutes, while sophomore Tara Berger scored 13 points and grabbed 20 rebounds. The girls enter this week's NYSAISAA tournament as the second seed.
