Girls' Varsity Lacrosse: The team is heading to Spring Fling, in West Palm Beach, for spring training. Thirty-five girls are attending the trip. While in Florida, the girls will hone their skills, get conditioned, bond as a team, and prepare for the upcoming season. The team is scheduled to play Groton Academy during this week in Florida. Two talented and enthusiastic senior captains, Annie Grayer and Clare McClintock, will lead the team. When back at RCDS, the season starts with a home scrimmage against Holy Child, on Thursday, March 28.

Boys' Varsity Lacrosse: After the winter we endured, the spring trip to Florida is arriving at just the right time. With only three practices leading into the trip, we have a lot to cover while at Disney. The trip will have a nice mix of practices and scrimmages, which gives the players a chance to implement their offensive and defensive philosophy in game-like situations. With the loss of eight seniors, this year's team will be young, but the coaching staff is so excited with the talent on this year's squad. It has been great to see all of the work the boys have put in this winter, in the weight room or up on the field. Everyone is excited to have Tommy Garry (captain) and Tyler Miller back, along with returning starters Michael Farber (captain), Dylan Bass, and Andrew Antonacci. We have high expectations for this season, as our goals include vying for FAA and NYSAIS titles. We hope to see you at as many games as possible this spring.

Varsity Baseball: The team will be traveling to Fort Lauderdale to begin its 17th season in the sun. Workouts will be each day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The team will also travel to see the Cardinals play the Mets and the University of Miami take on Columbia University (with our own Zack Tax, RCDS 2010, potentially pitching for the Lions). The varsity team has high expectations for the upcoming season as they return all but two starters from last year's 14-win season and 2nd-place FAA finish. Leading the team will be senior captains Matthew Crowley, Andrew Waite, and Stephen Knight.

Varsity Softball: The team is heading to Disney's Wide World of Sports for spring training. Senior captains Eve Wulf and Elena Conn are ready to lead the group as we hone our skills.  Besides practices and scrimmages, the team hopes to engage in various bonding activities to prepare for the upcoming season. Upon our return, we are looking forward to the start our season on Wednesday, April 3, at home versus Hamden Hall.

Boys' Varsity Tennis: Once again season will begin with ithe annual spring training trip to the Saddlebrook Resort in Tampa, Florida. Sixteen boys will play nearly six hours daily, working on all aspects of their game. The team is coming off an impressive 9-3 season and looks to improve their record even further. Returning from that team are senior captains, Nick Kemp and Robert Levine, as well as Tyler Tananbaum and Evan Wong. The remainder of the team includes: Adam Kozek, Sam Hearst, Bo Curry, Teddy Tananbaum, and Paul Leake. Coach Stoler and Coach Castagna are looking to round out this year's team with three players who will be trying out beginning on March 6th.

Varsity Sailing: The season is almost here.  The team will start sailing during the spring training trip Monday, March 18.   Our sailors will practice daily for 5 days in 420’s on Biscayne Bay, preparing for a competitive 2013 season.  Our first regatta will take place at the Stony Brook School sailing venue in Port Jefferson, NY, on March 23.  Once we return to school from spring break, the team will continue to train at Indian Harbor Yacht Club 4 days a week on the water.  The team has some strong returning sailors, as well as a few new faces who will participate in try-outs our first week back from break.

Girls' Varsity Golf: As everyone slowly winds down after finals and starts looking ahead to spring, I hope golf is on the agenda.  The team will be heading to Saddlebrook resort in Tampa, Florida, to get a jump start on the season.  We have many returning players and a few new faces to add to the mix.  The team will be leaving from RCDS Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 12 p.m.  Please be at the school no later than 11:15 a.m.  We will be returning on Thursday, March 21..  We will hopefully be back at school by 11 p.m.  Both coaches, Marie Vlcek and Gil Castagna, will be chaperones on the trip.  If you have any questions, please call Marie 917-887-7457. We look forward to a great Wildcat Golf Season!

Boys' Varsity Golf: The team will be traveling to PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Florida, on March 18-22 for itsannual spring training trip. The team is led by junior captain Theodore Humphrey and senior captain Reed Waggoner. The team is expecting strong seasons from Daniel Tricarico, Adam Alpert, and Jack Zenkel.

Track and Field: The 2013 Track & Field Wildcats look to have a fabulous season in third year of the program.  The boy are coming off a 3rd-place finish at the NYSAIS Championships behind New York State powerhouses Collegiate and Hackley. The boys’ squad boasts over 30 athletes with depth in all events and will look to make another strong run at the postseason championship meet. The girls are looking to improve on their 11th-place finish at the NYSAIS Championships. With all scorers from last year's team returning, and some new talent joining the team, they are poised to make a serious run at the end of the year. The team will head down to Orlando, Florida, for training and will compete at the Walt Disney World Invitational, which is a two - day event that will include a high-powered, collegiate division featuring teams like Florida State, Ohio State, Princeton, and the University of Central Florida.  The team will look to compete, train hard, and build solid relationships for the upcoming season.
