Special Delivery! After visiting the Rye City Post Office, first graders were inspired to provide the same service to the Lower School Community. Last week, the Grade 1 Post Office opened selling postcards and stamps for a penny each.
"We are thrilled to see the first grade students working cooperatively to design and sell stamps and post cards, sort incoming mail, and deliver mail to each other. There is so much joy in the Lower School with the sending and receiving of mail," commented Grade 1 Faculty, Amy Haff.
Due to the success of the program, the Grade 1 Post Office will remain open through the end of April.
